Man Investments USA Holdings Inc. is Hiring a Portfolio Manager Near Boston, MA

The Portfolio Manager role spans a broad spectrum of portfolio management, investment and market analysis, and research responsibilities as part of the equities team. The successful candidate for this highly competitive position will work closely with a team of talented Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts to implement and provide detailed oversight of Numeric's investment strategies. This involves oversight of, and review of the investment models, portfolio construction process and resultant strategies. The Senior Portfolio Manager will also monitor portfolio risk and macroeconomic exposures, analyze portfolio returns, and conduct analysis for client communications. In addition to the day-to-day implementation of Numeric's strategies, successful candidates will have the opportunity to mention the development of Portfolio Analysts and contribute to research projects in conjunction with Numeric's central research team. Work with the portfolio management team to implement Numeric’s equity strategies and develop new strategies. Interact daily with the portfolio analysts group on portfolio rebalancing issues. Make any final judgmental decisions on suggested trades. Research improvements to all facets of the investment process. Work with the research group to develop new alpha models. Create insightful analysis and commentary to be able to understand and convey to clients/prospects the drivers of performance. *Position is eligible to work hybrid, requiring some presence in the Boston, MA Office, with manager approval.
LOCATION: Boston, MA
SALARY: $95,000 per year
REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Mathematical Economics, Statistics or related quantitative field plus 4 years of quantitative portfolio management and research experience and in global quantitative equity research and portfolio management. Experience to include 2 years conducting quantitative analysis at sell side and quantitative asset managers; 2 years of experience coding in Python, Matlab, SAS, R, SQL and VBA. *Position is eligible to work hybrid, requiring some presence in the Boston, MA Office, with manager approval.
